Strategic Planning
-> Step 1: Where are we now? <-
The Women of Distinction is a well-rounded group that strives to empower women. They are represented in every industry such as doctors, engineers, and lawyers. The program allows women to share their own stories that help other women to do better in their daily lives. The stakeholders in the events are the women present in the event, speakers, attendees, employees, and the surrounding community. It is important that the program continues to develop toward women of all ages including upcoming generations. We have decided to partner with a separate program called the Center for Family Violence Prevention in hopes to extend a helping hand to other women in need. This will allow the women that have struggled to be connected and tell their stories of how they became successful. It is in our hopes that the fellow Women of Distinction women will shed light on the many ways to determine independence to other women.
-> Step 2: Where do we want to get to? <-
Our vision is to provide an opportunity for women of all ages to feel comfortable and welcomed into the women business world. We strive to help push women to achieving new goals, while connecting with others. Because we have partnered with The Center for Family Violence we have set a goal of collecting at least 250 donated items such as toiletries, canned foods, and possible clothes through out the event. By doing so this will help families struggling and will offer our support and guidance. This is also another opportunity for the Women of Distinction to broaden their efforts with the community and fellow women. This is a chance to make a larger impact by sharing educated views, guidance, and motivation.
-> Step 3: How are we going to get there? <-
It will be important for this event to be successful to be properly advertised about the type of goals we are trying to reach. Mostly the stakeholders like the attendees need to be well informed on the impact we are trying to make and the donated items we are looking for. The attendees should understand the impact they could potentially be making for struggling families.
-> Step 4: How will we know when we have gotten there? <-
We will be keeping a count of the donated items and if we reach the goal of 250 items then we will be able to label it a success!
