~Event Type: Award Ceremony/Charity
The Women of Distinction and the Center for Family Violence Prevention are joining together not only to honor local women, but also to MAKE A REAL CHANGE in the community.
~Event slogan: #Real Women Real Change
~Objectives:
* The purpose of the event:
The purpose of the event is to celebrate the 10 outstanding women chosen by the Women of Distinction Board of Directors. These women are picked based on their contributions to the community, and are all excellent examples of a “Real Woman.” Real women are pioneers of equality that are not afraid to fight for what they believe in. They take initiative with bringing a positive change to their surroundings.
The events purpose is also to teach those in attendance how to start making the “Real Change” in their own lives and communities. The Ceremony itself is partnered with the Center for Family Violence Prevention, and we hope to raise at least 250 donated items.
* The reason for bringing this group together:
The reason for bringing this group of people together is to show appreciation to 10 women who are going above and beyond, but also to get those in attendance to aspire to be like the winners. The event will provide REAL experience with helping those in need, giving the attendees the confidence to continue working on their goodwill.
* The end result we wish to accomplish:
We have set a goal of collecting at least 250 donated items for the Center for Family Violence Prevention. The end result of the event would be a domino effect of people being more generous and charitable in their life. The event will empower attendees to make a REAL CHANGE in their lives, and it will spread awareness about how people can help their community.
